Aprons

Ban Thung Hong, a village in northern Thailand’s Phrae Province is, quite frankly, indigo crazy. Its main drag is lined with shops selling suea maw hawm, the dark blue farmers’ shirt that has become an icon of northern Thai culture. We love these shirts and wanted to create a kitchen product that taps into this legacy, so we’ve collaborated with Mohom Ban PaLuang, one of the only remaining dyers who still works with natural indigo, to create three different aprons. Emphasizing simplicity and designed for different sizes and uses, the thread that links our aprons is real indigo, dyed via a multi-step, time-consuming process that over time, will fade and crease in beautiful, idiosyncratic ways, giving your apron a unique identity.

We reached our funding target and products are being handmade now. Email us at ffsfantastic@gmail.com to check on next production or special orders.
